Several conditions are managed in an organizational unit. They pursue common goals, have similar areas of responsibility and cooperate closely with each other. Organizational units often have their own structure. In addition, they have their own strengths and responsibilities.
An organizational unit is part of the union structure. This is usually reported in the organizational unit. The organizational unit describes the level in the organizational structure. These are not special situations of the employees. Organizational units can be of different sizes: departments, divisions or even branches. In larger organizations, the project business unit is also a separate unit. An organizational unit can, for example, include teams, users, devices or other OUs. An organizational unit can in turn contain several other OUs, but within the contained OU all attributes must be unique.
By default, all users are placed in the top-level parent organizational unit. By default, child organizational units inherit the settings from the parent organizational unit. However, these settings can be adapted to the requirements of the subordinate unit. If you export the organizational procedure, make changes, and import it again, your changes will overwrite the existing information. This means that all assigned items lose their organization assignment. We recommend that you only use import/export if there are no assigned products. Otherwise, you must make changes directly.

Object ID
An object of the organizational unit model is uniquely identified by an identification in the object. All other object properties are technically assigned with this model. The object receives this unchangeable ID when it is created. In customizing, you can specify which number range intervals should be available for this and whether the assignment should be carried out immediately by the network or by user decision.
Validity Period
When it is created, the object is given a validity in addition to the identification. The mechanism also maps the validity using the object. Since there can be several info types for an item, the network automatically ensures that there is always an unbroken chain of records for this one for an item. The start date of the first info type of an object and the end of the last one determine the overall validity of the object. The validity of an object also determines the time of validity for all other properties of the item stored in records. These must be within the object validity.
The validity of the object can be changed according to certain rules. You can use the organizational unit to create a new model in directory and enter a name for the new organizational unit. By default, it creates the OU in the domain root.
